# Facebook Page authorization

> Authorize Facebook Pages, manage saved Page settings, and reconnect or disconnect Page access.

Use the **Facebook** card on [Deploy](/en/deploy/overview) to authorize Pages and manage their saved settings in Fini. Each Page has its own connection and agent selection.

<Warning>
  This setup saves Page authorization and settings only. It does not enable receiving Facebook comments or Messenger messages, or sending replies. An authorized Page is not a live messaging channel.
</Warning>

## Connect Pages

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Facebook setup">
    Open **Deploy** and select the **Facebook** card. For a new connection, click **Connect**; the Page management screen also offers **Connect Facebook**. Continue to Facebook to grant access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the Pages Facebook shares">
    Return to Fini and review **Choose Pages to connect**. Select the Pages you want to save, then use the **Save** action, which shows the selected Page count. Pages missing required permissions or Page tasks cannot be selected; the picker explains what is missing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Manage saved settings">
    Expand a Page under **Saved Pages**. Under **Bot Routing**, choose an agent or **No bot selected**. Under **Reply Settings**, set the reply lag in seconds; the default is zero. Click **Save Changes**. These are saved settings, not activation of receiving or replying.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Use **Manage Facebook Pages** to add Pages or resume an unfinished selection. Closing the picker does not disconnect saved Pages. If the selection expires, click **Choose Pages again**. If a previous save is pending, use **Retry saving Pages** to retry the same selection.

**Configure Reply Behavior** links to the shared [Reply Rules](/en/automations/reply-behavior) settings, not a separate set of rules for that Page.

## Reconnect Page access

Fini checks saved Page access when the Page list loads. It does not continuously monitor an open screen for changes made in Facebook.

If Fini confirms lost access, the Page needs reconnection. Use **Reconnect** on the Page or **Reconnect Page** in the access-loss notice, then complete authorization for that Page. The existing Page settings and history are retained. **Continue** only acknowledges the notice; it does not restore access.

An unavailable verification check is not the same as confirmed lost access. Retry loading the Page list before changing the connection.

## Disconnect a Page

Open the Page's actions menu, choose **Disconnect**, and confirm **Disconnect Page**. This removes that Page's saved access from Fini while retaining its history and settings. Other Pages are not disconnected.

Disconnecting in Fini does not revoke the app's authorization in Facebook. Manage Facebook-side grants in Facebook business integrations if you also want to remove that access.

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="A Page is missing from the picker" icon="magnifying-glass">
    Fini can only list Pages shared by the current Facebook authorization. Click **Missing a Page?**, review the Page's access in Facebook business integrations, then explicitly click **Update Facebook access**. **No new Pages to connect** means the returned Pages are already saved, not that every Page you own is connected.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A Page cannot be selected or saved" icon="key">
    Read the missing-permission or Page-task message and update access in Facebook. A Page with conflicting workspace ownership cannot be installed into another workspace; resolve that ownership with your Fini contact rather than repeatedly authorizing it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The Page is authorized but no messages arrive" icon="message">
    Authorization and saved settings do not enable message receiving or replies. Check availability with your Fini contact before planning a Facebook or Messenger rollout.
  </Accordion>
